Celebrating Community

On 13th September, we had the pleasure of hosting a stall at Gloucester Pride. Despite the rain, spirits were high as we cheered on the parade entering a very soggy Gloucester Park. It was fantastic to connect with so many people, sharing information about the support we offer and inviting visitors to leave their own messages of solidarity—a hugely popular activity throughout the day.

Our stall quickly became a colourful hub of encouragement, with people adding heartfelt notes such as:

“You are loved!”

“QUEER JOY IS OUR RESISTANCE”

“You get to write your own story!”

“You are amazing just as you are!”

Messages of Solidarity

Messages of solidarity and encouragement shared by visitors at our Gloucester Pride stall—each note a reminder that everyone belongs and is valued.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for staff and volunteers from different teams to come together, collaborate, and celebrate our diverse community. I found it genuinely moving that, even with the challenging weather and the often difficult news we hear from around the world, the turnout was incredible. We had plenty of inspiring conversations, made great new connections, and left feeling uplifted by the sense of unity and hope.

“Thank you so much for being here, I had no idea you offered so much different support.” – Member of the public.
